BLUES NEWS 7pm Chelsea news LIVE: Hazard blasts Blues fans, Rudiger to miss Valencia, Hudson-Odoi set for five-year contract

THERE is a busy week ahead for Frank Lampard and Chelsea.
After an emphatic 5-2 victory over Wolves at the weekend, the new Blues boss now looks forward to his European bow against Valencia at The Bridge - while they hope to tie down a star of the future.

BLUES youngster Ian Maatsen is set to follow the example of Billy Gilmour in signing a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 17-year-old left-back arrived at Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven last summer and was occasionally called up to train with Maurizio Sarri's senior team last term.
According to The Athletic, Frank Lampard has followed his predecessor by calling up the Dutchman to train with the first team following an injury to Emerson Palmieri.

FRANK LAMPARD says Chelsea’s talented youngsters will have to be “spot on” with their concentration when they make the step up in class to play in the Champions League.
The Blues are set to face the Spanish side and Ajax and Lille in the group stages when they return to the Champions League following a 12-month absence.
The manager said: “The different level can surprise you.
“The main thing is that the concentration levels throughout the game have to be spot on. It will be that focus. That is the main point.”

BLUES NEWS 4.30pm Chelsea news LIVE: Batshuayi to Anderlecht, Kenedy Getafe medical, Azpilicueta to be axed for James, Mount the ‘new Lampard’

FRANK LAMPARD failed to make it two straight wins as Kurt Zouma's last gasp own goal earned Sheffield United a point at Stamford Bridge.
Tammy Abraham's first half double should have been enough for the Blues, but they capitulated after half time to draw 2-2.
CHELSEA could reportedly offload Kenedy, Baba Rahman and Lucas Piazon before this evening’s European transfer window deadline.
The Athletic claims Frank Lampard has no room in his squad for the three misfits despite already getting rid of big earners including Tiemeoue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta and Danny Drinkwater.
Kenedy is now ready to move to Spain with Getafe, who are playing Europa League football after finishing fifth in La Liga last season.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian left-back Rahman, 25, hasn’t played for Chelsea since 2016 and has since taken in loan spells at Schalke and Reims.
He is also heading to Spain with Real Mallorca, while Brazilian winger Lucas Piazon, 25, is heading to Portugal with Rio Ave.
